TP Mazembe enjoyed a dream a start to their Group A campaign. But the big talking point was Zamalek Coach, Milutin Sredojevic.

CAFCL Group A Standings

TP Mazembe 3-0 Zamalek

TP Mazembe were outrightly superior to Zamalek. The absence of Reinford Kalaba did not matter in the end. They still had to wait until after the hour mark to get the goals going. The trigger was Patou Kabangu coming on as he went to assist 3 goals, all from his right wing.

Two identical crosses, in the 60th and 89th minutes, were headed home by Jackson Muleka. Tresor Mputu rolled back the years in between these goals with a grass cutter shot (or should I say artificial turf cutter 😆) in the 66th minute.

The fate of Zamalek coach, Micho, is all everyone was concerned about though.

He has completely undone the beautiful playing style and accomplishment of his predecessor.

Primeiro Agosto 1-1 ZESCO Utd

We did not expect too much from this encounter to be honest. And the sides delivered. Ary Papel stood out and got himself an assist in the 9th minute. He set up Mabululo for a tap-in goal. But 7 minutes later, the visitors drew level through Clement Mwape.
